Coy Travis

Coy Travis is the Managing Attorney at Coy Travis Law in New Albany, IN. His practice is focused in the areas of juvenile and child welfare law, family law, and criminal law. In addition to his private cases, Coy is a Deputy Public Defender in Floyd County, representing indigent clients in criminal and child welfare cases. He also regularly works as a guardian ad litem for courts in Southern Indiana; in that capacity, Coy represents the best interests of children in contested family law cases. Further, Coy is a registered family law mediator, helping families find their own solutions to problems. Prior to re-entering private practice in February 2022, Coy represented the Indiana Department of Child Services in Floyd County.

In addition to serving on the board here at Brandon's House, Coy is active on several other nonprofit boards. He has been a member of the board of directors at Carriage House (formerly the Kentucky School for Autistic Children) in Louisville, KY for many years. Coy also serves as

Vice President of the board at Muir Manor, a nonprofit retirement home in New Albany, IN operated as part of the ministry of Central Christian Church. Additionally, he recently rejoined the advisory board for the Kentucky Autism Training Center at the University of Louisville. He and his wife, Sally, have been deacons at Central Christian Church in New Albany for the past 2 years. Coy and his wife love being part of the Floyd County community, and he is honored to have the opportunity to serve through Brandon's House.
