Wade Thaxton — CEO

Wade Thaxton joined Brandon’s House as the Executive Director in October of 2022. Wade comes with diverse experiences, from teaching to sales to corporate leadership. All of which he is utilizing to help Brandon’s House cultivate and expand mental health resources for teens & families in Southern Indiana. His leadership has a collaborative style but also challenges the status quo to help bring more people & resources to the table for our youth. He also spent 13 years as the leader & facilitator of GriefShare, a support group for those who have had a loved one pass away. Wade is married to Clarissa and has two children, Elanore & Wesley. While God is first in his life, Wade’s family & friends are a close second. He loves being outdoors with his family fishing, hiking & camping.

Brittani Hoyer — Clinical Director & Counselor

Brittani Hoyer has been the Clinical Director at Brandon’s House since August of 2022. She earned her Master’s of Counseling Degree from Campbellsville University Louisville Campus with a concentration in Marriage and Family Therapy in 2010. She has been a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist since 2014 and is currently working on her AAMFT Nationally Approved Supervisor Certification. Brittani worked in community mental health through Seven Counties for 3 years, psychiatric inpatient, IOP/PHP, and outpatient programs through Baptist.

Adrianna Riggs — Administrative Manager

Adrianna Riggs joined Brandon’s House in August of 2025 as office and administrative manager after graduating from Bellarmine University with a Bachelor of Arts in Psychology and Jazz Studies. Adrianna enjoys building connections and ensuring that every client feels welcomed and supported from their first interaction with the practice. Through her role, Adrianna creates a compassionate environment that helps both clients and clinicians feel at ease.

Outside of work, Adrianna enjoys traveling and experiencing different cultures, believing that these experiences foster greater understanding, empathy, and appreciation for others. Adrianna loves music of all kinds, and you might even see her playing her saxophone in the music scene in Louisville. She also is an animal lover, with a special fondness for seals & sea lions.

Sophia Gresh — On-Staff Counselor

Sophia is a Licensed Mental Health Counseling Associate in Indiana and has been a counselor at Brandon’s House since May 2024. She began her time at Brandon’s House as an intern and is now a full-time counselor. Sophia earned her Master’s degree in Clinical Mental Health Counseling at the University of Kentucky in May 2025. With a warm, supportive, and nonjudgmental approach, Sophia strives to create a safe space where teens feel comfortable expressing themselves, building self-awareness, and developing healthy coping skills. She also recognizes the important role families can play in the therapeutic process and collaborates with parents and guardians when appropriate to support lasting positive change. Sophia’s passion is helping teens build resilience, strengthen confidence, improve relationships, and develop the tools they need to thrive both now and in the future. When she is not counseling, Sophia enjoys being outdoors, riding her horses, and spending time with her dog. A long-term career goal that Sophia has is to eventually become certified in Equine-Assisted Psychotherapy.
